There are a great number of outing destinations within a radius of 15 km: insider's tips like the giant tree house in Fendels that offers fantastic panoramic views; cultural pleasures at Burg Laudegg castle in Ladis; and most spectacular for family holidays: the sunny plateau of Serfaus - Fiss - Ladis with Fisser Flitzer & other attractions, Brezina’s Adventure Mountains… How far away? Only 10 minutes to the base station! The panorama road up Kaunertal glacier starts 14 km from our house. If you increase your radius slightly you can marvel at the Kaunergrat nature reserve house or the Altfinstermünz fortress. Rosengartenschlucht gorge in Imst is a top outing destination in the summer. Also set in Imst: the world’s longest Alpine rollercoaster. The Area 47 adventure park is a top address for adrenaline junkies; the Ötzidorf Iceman’s village is also to be found in this part of the province. This archaeological park is located below Tirol’s highest waterfall and tells of the life and cultural life at the time of the Iceman. Seen that way you can travel 5,000 years in time in half an hour only.

The most popular destinations are also nearby: Innsbruck (85 km), the capital of the province of Tirol, offers plenty of culture: the old town, the Golden Roof, the Triumphal Arch, Schloss Ambras castle etc. And don't miss to visit the Alpine Zoo, the highest-located zoo of Europe. You can take the new Hungerburgbahn funicular to get up there. The funicular was planned by Zaha Hadid, the same architect who had already created quite a stir with the new ski jumping arena at Bergisel Mountain. The “Riesenrundgemälde” (a gigantic panoramic painting of the Bergisel battle in 1809) was also transferred to this historic site... Still not enough? 15 km to the east the Crystal Worlds wait to be explored. The magic chambers created by Andre Heller are among the top three outing destinations in Tirol.
Outing Destinations in the other Direction.
Located in the three-country triangle of Switzerland, Italy and Austria, the Tiroler Oberland area is a perfect base for excursions beyond the borders. Visiting the glamorous municipality of St. Moritz, the Engadin or enjoying the most beautiful crossing of the Alps with the Bernina Express are some of the options available. You can also enjoy shopping in the duty-free paradise of Samnaun. In the Italian part of Tirol it is the sunken church in Reschensee Lake that is quite an outing destination.
