From a geographical point of view, Ried is part of the Tiroler Oberland region. It is the area's central hub, covering Ried / Prutz / Pfunds, Fendels and the Kaunertal valley as well as Nauders and Fiss-Serfaus-Ladis. All of them are Tirolean holiday destinations that score in different ways – and all of them boast ski areas. The base station of the Ried-Fendels lift is only a few steps from our house and brings you right into the Fendels ski area, which is part of the Kaunertal-Fendels interconnected ski area. Our Mozart shuttle takes you to Tirol’s ski dimension of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis in a few minutes only.
The lift connecting Ried to Fendels also operates in the summer, just like many of the other Tiroler Oberland lifts do. This is perfect if you want to explore Tirol in your hiking boots and/or on your bike. Admittedly, some guests discover Tirol’s best sides while putting their feet up and staying in Ried to relax. Lazing around in the outdoors, bathing with view of the mountains! The garden area surrounding Mozart Vital Hotel promises summer pleasures at their best: swimming biotopes with drinking water quality, children's playground, a topcourt tennis court, deckchairs… And the Ried bathing lake directly borders on our garden. It is quite warm for a mountain lake and features a wide and undulating slide, a beach volleyball court and a beach bar.
The Kaunertal reservoir, a popular outing destination, is somewhat colder than the Ried bathing lake and not designed for swimming. Hardly anyone misses out on this centennial construction in the Kaunertal glacier world. Or on Fiss Serfaus Ladis for that matter. As skillfully as the Tiroler Oberland makes your holidays the best time of the year – it wouldn’t be the same without its stars Fiss Serfaus Ladis. The sunny plateau high above Ried is said to be Tirol's most exciting spot, adding a summit to the Alpine holiday map so to speak. In the summer it boasts both the “Fisser Flitzer” and “Serfauser Sauser” flying devices as well as the Brezina Adventure Mountains. In the winter the ski areas offer sensational ideas for families.
