Ice Rinks near Mozart Vital Hotel
Guests love to put on their skates and skid along the ice rinks of the Tiroler Oberland area. Preferably directly at Mozart Vital Hotel: Once the Ried Lake is frozen nothing can stop them – but advice on skating should be taken to heart. Skid along…
Ice Skating on the Lake.
The Ried Lake would be a skaters’ paradise, even if it wasn’t located next to Mozart Vital Hotel. But it is! Often it is already frozen before Christmas. Little ice princesses make their rounds, cracks chase a puck. Adults need no skates to enjoy themselves. They watch the kids skate or check out ice curling. Some have put on ice skates for the first time here – and nothing can stop them now, because they have learned how to skate (and to brake) real fast.
Knowing how to brake is most important. It’s best to exercise well in advance: You can either pass a snowball between your skids or pass a puck with the outside of your skids. It is also a good idea to test a snowplough. If you master all of that you can test parallel braking – and conquer even more ice.
Another popular meeting point for ice skaters is in the heart of our neighbouring village of Pfunds. The ice rink with hockey rink and ice curling alleys provides for plenty of fun on two skids. It is floodlit on every evening. Ice skates can be rented on site.
