Sounds quite presumptuous, yet it is true. You will be happy to have a bike with a good gear ratio – even more so if you prefer not to take lifts. Some of the most beautiful mountain bike routes are in the Tiroler Oberland – and are listed on the innovative bike map here. There are so many of them that they had to be grouped: pasture tours, panorama tours, joy rides…Mozart Vital Hotel has also set up routes that start at the hotel: MTB Tour 14, Stalanzer Alm e.g.: 4 hours, altitude gain: 1,000m, yet within the range of your heart rate … To get started we recommend joining one of the guided surprise tours that are included with your Summer Card, meaning that they can be joined for free.
The bike park in Serfaus offers five different routes for beginners and advanced bikers. The Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region with the new bike park next to the Waldbahn cable car station has created the perfect range of opportunities for mountain biking, a sport which is becoming more and more popular. From the first tentative downhill attempts to the giddy adrenalin rush: the Bikepark Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis offers just the right trail for all age groups and all levels of ability.
Bikes and protective gear for children and adults alike can be hired at the bike shop at the Waldbahn valley terminal. There are also well-trained guides waiting to help with those first attempts and teach riders, young and old, all the necessary tricks to race down the trails safely and have a really great time.
The Kids Park and Training Area near the valley terminal offer plenty of opportunities to become familiar with the sports equipment. The Waldbahn cable car is a quick and easy way to get both bikes and riders to the start of the trails where – as with skiing – there are descents for every level of difficulty: from blue (easy) to red (medium) to black (expert). And at the end of an exciting day in the bike park, there are cold drinks and delicious snacks waiting for the hungry riders in the Chill Area.
At the H2O company next to the hotel you can rent bikes for adults and children and we can also recommend you a couple of other companies where you can rent a bike. There is also a possibility to rent e-bikes for a day or half a day.
The hotel also offers free mountain bike tours in cooperation with the tourist office.
